Importing a person record
Firstly, find the social media profile of the person you want to import. Click the ‘<<’ icon on the extension sidebar to open it.
The extension will search for people working at the same company in Ezekia. If it finds anyone, it will list them in the extension like this.
It does this as it would otherwise be quite easy to duplicate records already on the system. You can check that the person you want is not already in the list - they will usually be near the top. A profile with an exactly matching social media URL is indicated with a green tick.
If you do see the person, it means they are already on Ezekia, so you should ‘Update’ the profile, rather than importing it. Click on the profile name and use the Update button on the next screen.
If the person is not in the list, click the icon (arrowed above) to switch to the import screen.
You will see a screen like this:
You can import the profile using the import button, but you can make some other selections before you do so.
- If you want to associate the profile to an assignment, click in the assignment field (1). The most recent assignments you have used will be shown, or you can search for another.
- Add the person’s companies as new company records in Ezekia (2).
Changing an existing Person Profile
Once you have either imported or clicked on a person record. You will arrive at a screen that looks like this. Here you can make some changes to the Ezekia person record without having to navigate to Ezekia.
You can:
- Navigate to the person record in the main Ezekia application, using icon (1).
- Change the name of the person with icon (2).
- Add or amend person tags with icon (3).
- Change phone or email details with icon (4).
- You can ask the system to predict an email address (if it is possible to do so) with icon (5).
Switch to the positions tab to see a summary of the person’s positions.
The notes tab allows you to view and add researcher notes to the person profile. You can also view linked, system and compliance notes.
The Relationships tab will allow you to view and add assignments the person is on, and to change their pipeline status:
Click the ‘Companies’ button to view the company records the person is associated to.
Importing a company record
Company records can be imported as part of the person import. Alternatively, you can import them separately.
Open the social media profile of the company in Chrome. The extension will search to see if the company is already in Ezekia. If it is not, you will see the record import screen. On this panel, click Import to bring the company record into Ezekia.
You should always check that the company is not already present, but with slightly different spelling, before importing a new company record.
Importing from a LinkedIn Search
When you search for people you can filter them down to increase their relevancy, then bulk import using the "Import All People" option in the tool like the below:
