The yellow duplicates icon (shown below) allows you to merge or ignore duplicate records without having to navigate away to the Compliance, Data cleansing view.  All users can see the icon, but only authorised users can use the icon to merge the profiles.

 

 

 

If you click the button and are not authorised, you will see the following warning, and you are not allowed to perform the merge.  

'You need permission to delete the items being merged, and permission to edit the item being merged into.'

 

You can still ‘ignore’ the duplicate (if appropriate) to remove the icon.


You can decide on which record should be the primary (the company/person to be kept), and which should be the secondary (the company/person to be soft deleted/archived).
