This icon is used to access the KPI Dashboard.

The KPI dashboard allows you to build your own list of reports or graphs about Ezekia data that you can tailor to your exact requirements.  Administrators can also produce company-wide dashboards.  You can create as many Dashboards as you want.

To create your own KPI dashboard, you will first need to create a query in Query Builder and save it with a name. You can now reference this query when you create a new dashboard panel.  If the query contains numeric information (for example, summary fields such as the number of candidates in an assignment), this can be represented in graph form, but it is also possible to create graphs based on fields such as statuses.

When you create a dashboard, you can give it any name you want.  Use the Edit button on the dashboard once it has been created to make further changes.

The dashboard can contain up to three rows, each with up to three panels across the page. Click ‘Add Row’ to add a new row and ‘Add panel’ to add a new panel in the current row.

When you add a new panel, these are the fields that need to be completed:

Panel Name:  This must be unique within that dashboard.  It is the name that will appear above the panel, so it should describe what the panel will show.

Panel Query: You can select the named query in Query Builder with this.  There are options to select from your own queries or from firm wide queries.

Panel Type:  Select one of the options –

  • Average - Displays the average of the values in a selected column.  For this type, the query selected should have numeric values in the output.
  • Count - Displays a simple count of records returned by a query.
  • Chart/Graph - Displays a chart or graph with selected parameters.  Various types of chart are available. You need to select the field to be shown on the X (vertical) axis and the Y (horizontal) axis. Once produced, pie charts can be downloaded as graphical files for use in other applications.  The available options are:
    • Area chart
    • Bar graph
    • Column chart
    • Line graph
    • Pie chart
  • Results table - Displays a table with the query results. This is similar to how the results are displayed in Query Builder.  When displaying a table with many columns, it is recommended that you place it in its own row to make the panel as wide as possible.
  • Sum - Displays the sum of the values in a selected column. For this type, the query selected should have numeric values in the output.

When you have completed all the fields, click ‘Update Panel’ to return to the Dashboard definition page.  Save the dashboard to see the panels you have created.

Example:

Once saved, the dashboard will be refresh automatically twice a day.  If you want to see records you recently added, click the 'Refresh Dashboard' button at the bottom of the page.
