Increased security measures on Ezekia will potentially affect how users login to the Ezekia website.
Note that Single Sign On (SSO) users will only be affected by points 2 & 3 below.
Here are the changes:
- We will be making our password rules stricter: They must be at least 12 characters, and contain at an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and a special character. Anyone who’s existing password does not meet this new standard will be prompted to provide a new password. If you want to change your password, you can do so on your settings page.
- We will be limiting concurrent sessions to one device per user. This means that you can continue to open multiple tabs for Ezekia in the same browser, but you will no longer be able to sign in using the same login to two different computers, or use two different browsers, at the same time.
- If you sign in to Ezekia from a new location without two-factor authentication active, you will be prompted to verify your identity using a one-time password provided by email.
- Your account will be locked if you try to sign in 5 times in a row with the wrong password. If this happens, you will be advised by email. Your login will be automatically re-activated after a few minutes. You will be able to view your login history using a tab on your settings page.
