This article is aimed at Administrators.  Unlike standard researchers, External users can only see and use the assignments they are specifically authorised to.


If you have not already done so, you will need to add the user as an external researcher for your firm.   This can be done in the Permissions page (it is the same process as adding a normal user, but use the permission 'External').  The user will be sent an email asking them to sign in and set their password - they need to have done this before you can move on.

 

For every individual assignment you want the new user to work on, open the assignment on the info page, and switch to the Associates tab.  On the ‘Add Associates’ line at the top, start to type the name of the external user you want to give access to that assignment.  When you see their name appear, click it to add them.  You can add more than one person if you need to.
