This is controlled by a setting in Outlook - by default it opens a new profile, or any other link, in 'Edge'. You can make it open in your usual browser instead:

In Outlook, select File > Options > Advanced > File and browser preferences. In the 'Open hyperlinks from Outlook in' line, select the default browser from the dropdown menu.
